This week our team was in Sydney for the NSW AHA Awards, where we were honoured to be finalists in six categories - including the People’s Choice Award for Best Local.

We didn’t come home with a trophy this time, but to be recognised as finalists in our very first year is something we’re incredibly proud of.

It was also great to see so many amazing regional pubs being celebrated and taking home some well-deserved wins - a reminder of just how strong and passionate the hospitality community is across NSW.

And our week didn’t end there - Sally and Pete also attended the NSW Business Awards last night as finalists, after taking out Best New Business in the New England region earlier this year. It was inspiring to meet so many thriving business minds and to represent our great town of Uralla on the state stage.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way - our team, our locals, and everyone who’s made The Bolt Inn what it is.
 And thank you to all of you who voted for our pub!

What a year it’s been. We’re proud to represent our beautiful town and can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Chef Rob headed out to Niangala recently to see where it all begins - a quiet patch of land where truffles grow beneath the oak trees at Black Rock Truffles. This family-run truffière, established in 2011, has been producing premium Périgord truffles since 2016, thanks to the region’s hot summers and cold winters that create ideal growing conditions.

We’ll be sharing photos and video from the visit soon so stay tuned.

In the meantime, you can taste the results.

Today’s menu features freshly shaved Niangala black truffle over:
